CIGAR STORE INDIAN Alfco NY Advertising Store Display Indian Chief RARE 5 FOOT. The base/box that he sits on has a 1 inch hole in the center where a pole would have stuck out of it and protruded into the bottom of the Indian to secure him to the base. This could be easily accomplished with PVC or similar, though he stands on the base, it would prevent him from being knocked off of it. The square base is 13 1/4" by 13 1/4" and is 13 1/4 tall. The indian with his small platform is 51 1/2" tall and the platform or base is 11 1/2" square.

He is marked ALFCO NY on the backside. He is in very good condition with minimal to no signs of wear. He is super unique and very cool. VERY RARE, especially to find in this condition.

Please read further information provided. I have done some research to find that the company ALFCO NY company stands for Artistic Latex Foam Company of New York. Made from a foam and latex material (as is this one), they produced replicas of figureheads for the front of ships and boats, cigar store indian displays, and carousel horses. The company operated from the 1950's to the 1970's. This is a fantastic display piece, with stunning detail and color.
