Salesman sample from (apparently) Moorman Pork in the 1940s. The two sides of the pig open up to show the pig interior. I'm assuming if you are looking at this you know what it is, so focusing on condition. Condition: The pig was obviously mounted atop a wooden board.
Maybe someone made it so it had a trough in front for display? Unsure if it is original, I'm guessing not, but the wood looks quite old.Might be missing a few screws on the underside. This one is different from all the other ones I've seen, it does not have a carrying handle on the top.
It is strange, because it does not seem to have been made with having that handle anywhere along the top. The pig halves secure with a few screws and brackets, one portion is definitely not original there, one of the screws I mean, see the photos. Obviously the exterior and interior of the pig has been used and shows age appropriate wear. Unsure if it was ever painted, or if it was always this black color. Altogether it weighs between 11 and 12 pounds. The wood plank is about 22 inches from end to end. The pig itself is about 8.5 inches tall and between 14 and 15 inches tail to snout.
