Rare 1900s Red Rangercedar store display 250 cigar box is in fair condition

This rare 1900s "Red Ranger"cedar store display 250 cigar box, measuring 5" x 15 1/2"x 5 1/4, is in fair condition. Most of the binding remains. The hinge is loose but completely functional. The interior lid label and interior bottom side labels are in very good condition with some minor age related discoloration.

The front of the box can be opened up as it would have been while on display on a store counter. There is a warp in the lid. This highly attractive box features labels designed by Wittermann Brothers Lithography Company, New York, New York. The labels contain a detailed image of a red fox running. The cigars were manufactured by Swisher Brothers Cigar Company, Newark, OH in Factory 121, 11th District, OH.
