This is one of those rare store display pieces that I have never seen before and will not likely see again. It is in good condition for the age with very nice graphics - 16 1/2" across the top and 10" deep. The graphic shows the Kerr's type style that is pre 1930 when the iconic scrip was developed and the Scottish lass mascot added. Edward & Albert Kerr immigrated from Scotland to Canada and created the Kerr's candy confectionary in 1895. It still operates today and more information can be found at kerrs. One of the company's key products is a line of lollipops. It is interesting that the box advertises Drumsticks but in brackets we see the word (Lollypops) with the original spelling. This is certainly a one of a kind piece of confectionary advertising and what is really special is that the box is all wood construction. The sides and bottom appear to be maple veneer and the thick bands holding it all together are steam bent oak. The fasteners are heavy staples and nails - very heavy duty and well made. On its own this is a special piece but the fact that it is all wood puts it right over the top! This item is in the category "Collectibles\Advertising\Merchandise & Memorabilia\Store Displays". The seller is "wikwas1" and is located in this country: CA. This item can be shipped to United States, Canada.
