Note that this is not literally a neon sign, it's light is "neon green" colored. The story behind this piece. This is a genuine Apple store display sign that was brought from Michigan state to Washington state in 1994 by the previous owner. He put it in storage with the rest of his life-long apple collection, and it sat there, undisturbed, for 31 years.
This sign is in good condition considering its age. It has some minor scratches and scuffs which is to be expected of an item like this.
I made sure to get some pictures in lighting that would expose the cosmetic imperfections. Please see pictures and carefully scrutinize them to assess condition accurately.
The chain that the sign would have originally hung from has been lost to time, but I figure that is an easy enough thing to find a replacement for. I collect vintage computers and more specifically vintage Apple products. It takes a lot of time and effort to track down grail items like this.(We're close to California after all). For that reason I have decided to offer this for sale as I understand the chances of finding one of these in the wild, especially in other geographical locations, is insanely low for many avid collectors who may honestly appreciate it more than I. (Hopefully not in a shoebox this time though).
