Vintage 1993 Kenner Jurassic Park Double Sided Hanging Store Display Rare

Vintage 1993 Kenner Jurassic Park Double Sided Hanging Store Display Rare. Professionally Graded by CAS as a 75. Encased in Museum Acrylic for preservation well into the future.

This particular display is very large. The acrylic encasing the display is 39.5 inches long, 29 inches tall and 2.5 inches thick. One of the most iconic logos in the world! It was not just a logo it was an entire brand that was developed. Anytime a film (ie Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Harry Potter, etc) can create a world within a world, utilizing the brand as the central ID ie uniforms to car doors, including the promotional supports of the Park itself (t-shirts, lunch boxes, etc).

The sky is the limit in terms of advertising and marketing. Jurassic Park went on to be one of the highest grossing films of its time as well as one of the most successful franchises in the world to date.

The particular history behind this store display logo is interesting as it's an early release from Universal City Studios inc and Amblin Entertainment as both are listed on the display together as they bought the rights to Crichton's novel Jurassic Park before it was even published. The films logo is an extension of the bookcover (by Chip Kidd), which is devoid of any dinosaur skin at the request of author Michael Crichton. The logo was in talks by a committee including Steven Spielberg, Tom Martin, and Mike Salisbury. Over 100 logos were initially designed. The excitement for just the logo was unreal. 65 million meetings later and the LOGO was agreed upon and the rest was history.
